Iguassu Represents Brazil at International Tourism Security Congress, reinforcing the destination as a model of safety

Iguassu Falls, Brazil – The Military Police Tourist Assistance Company (CiaTur), a specialized division dedicated to tourist safety in Iguassu Falls, represented Brazil at the 4th International Tourism Security Congress, held from November 7 to 9 in Bogotá, Colombia. Supported by Visit Iguassu, CiaTur joined global experts and representatives to exchange best practices, discuss strategies, and explore innovations that strengthen safety in tourism worldwide.

Since its inception in 2016, CiaTur has played a key role in consolidating Iguassu Falls as one of the world’s premier tourist destinations and the most visited in Paraná State. Operating as part of the 14th Military Police Battalion, CiaTur is the first and only unit in Paraná exclusively focused on tourist assistance, offering visitors a secure and welcoming experience.

With a dedicated team working in shifts, the unit ensures quick responses to tourists’ needs across the city. This has significantly contributed to the city’s reputation as a safe haven for both leisure and business travelers.
