Iguassu Falls has been elected as the top attraction in Brazil and South America by TripAdvisor.

World Wonder of Nature, the Iguassu Falls located in Iguaçu National Park, in Iguassu Falls, stand out among the world’s top attractions in TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2024 – Best of the Best. The destination ranked first among attractions in Brazil and South America, and 21st globally. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Iguaçu Falls has been on the list.

The award within the TripAdvisor platform highlights the visitor experiences at Iguaçu National Park. “The national park features tranquil trails, colorful butterflies, and diverse wildlife.” The site also emphasizes the landscapes of Iguaçu National Park during sunset and the helicopter and boat tours, offering new perspectives of the World Wonder of Nature.

Recognition

The Travelers’ Choice 2024 – Best of the Best award honors attractions with a high level of excellence. Recognition considers the quality and quantity of user reviews over a 12-month period, from April 2023 to March 2024. Only 1% of profiles on the platform receive this recognition.

In the global Best of the Best 2024 list, Iguassu Falls, ranking 21st, represents Brazil and South America, alongside the Christ the Redeemer statue, which ranks 25th. This prestigious selection also includes renowned and beloved destinations such as the Empire State Building in New York, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum in France, and the Colosseum in Rome.

Among the top-rated reviews on the platform is one from Samanta Araújo of Salvador, Bahia. “A surreal experience, truly energizing. It’s impossible not to feel cleansed, indeed. It’s no wonder it’s one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World,” she commented.

In the first six months of 2024, Iguaçu National Park welcomed 853,340 visitors. Foreign visitors from 163 nationalities accounted for 41.7% of visits. The countries with the most visitors in the first half of 2024 were Brazil, Argentina, United States, Paraguay, France, and Germany, respectively.
