87 years of Iguassu National Park
The celebrations marking the 87th anniversary of Iguaçu National Park officially began this Friday, the 9th, with the reception of authorities and guests at the Visitors Center. During the event, Urbia+Cataratas, the company responsible for managing tourism visitation at the site, and ICMBio presented Parque 2030, a plan that includes R$ 600 million in investments and aims to position the home of the Iguassu Falls among the world’s leading nature-connection experiences, further enhancing its core values of preservation and wonder.

“The results reinforce the destination’s importance for national and international tourism, as well as the park’s strategic role in regional development. Thousands of people visit the park every day thanks to the work carried out over the past 87 years, helping to fulfill the purpose established at that time: to conserve this environment and to promote knowledge and environmental education,” explains Mario Macedo, CEO of Urbia+Cataratas.
Based on these results, Iguassu Falls projects 2026 as a year of international consolidation, reinforcing its position as a competitive, sustainable destination focused on the experience of the modern traveler.
